Santa Catarina & Permanbuco

Dear Friends and Family,

I just returned from Brazil where I had the privilege of speaking at two summer camps. Yes, it is the dead of summer right now in Brazil and it is hot and very humid! I partner with many denominations around Brazil and these were annual events held in two different states. The first was in the state of Santa Catarina and the other was in the state of Permanbuco. These events bring in kids from all over the state to give them a time of fun and fellowship. The events were explosive from the start as kids poured into the venue anticipating that God would meet them right where they are, and He did not disappoint. Each night’s service lasted up to three hours with the altar time taking up most that. As with all of our meetings, God’s presence swept the auditorium provoking shouts of joy and genuine celebration. I was astounded by the amount of young people who responded to the message of redemption, especially as it pertained to rejection an insecurity. I heard countless testimonies from young people who did not have a father in their lives and felt lik they were living life alone.

“I was astounded by the amount of young people who responded to the message of redemption.”

It was at these moments that the power of a single hug released in them a grace to receive Gods’s love in an intimate and profound way. This personal encounter, combined with the life changing truth of God’s Word, was a catalyst, igniting a fire of passion for Jesus in each recipient. God did untold works of grace in the lives of hundreds of kids over this two week period, some of which will never be known until Eternity. I want to say a big thank you for sending me to a lost and dying generation. Your faithful giving and prayers empower me to bring the power of Jesus name to a generation that has everything to live with but nothing to live for!

The presence of God was tangible in every service. The spontaneous worship that ensued was a joyous sight to behold!
